1. What are Brand Labels?
These days, it seems like everyone is more easily distracted, especially consumers. Businesses have to act quickly to convince consumers that their products are worth buying. A brand label is a little piece of fabric with your company or personal details often found on garments and used for other products. You can put as little as a logo, some words, or as much as you want, such as a link to your website, a catchy slogan, care instructions, and so on. A well-designed label can enhance a product’s visibility and increase brand awareness. Considering the increased size and complexity of the label, your manufacturing costs will rise accordingly.2. Why do you need Labels?
Grabbing Attention
A distinctive label conveys a company’s purpose and stands out in a crowded market. Given people’s short attention spans, they tend to evaluate businesses based on their visual impact. A powerful label can help your business capitalize on this.Distinguishes You From The Competition
Labels are a great opportunity to stand out from the crowd and show customers what makes your company special. There may be 50 clothing companies in your city that make cycling clothes, but only yours is dedicated to sustainability, and your label color scheme makes that point clear. A well-designed label’s perfect icon or font can convey an organization’s history (professional, casual, fun) and mission (entertainment, efficiency, innovation). In other words, your label is the stage upon which you can tell your story and demonstrate to customers what sets you apart from the competition and makes you the superior choice.Build Brand Influence
In order to effectively connect with your target audience, it’s important to create a compelling brand story that evokes emotional responses. This is the key to successful branding, and the label design should reflect this story in its colors, tones, and fonts. Your label serves as the foundation for all of your branding assets.3. Where is your label attached?
Left Chest or right chest
In terms of branding, the chest is by far the most popular location. Labels are usually on the left. It’s where customers search for labels. This is the finest place to brand for rapid recognition. Additionally, you can place a label on the right chest.Above Pocket
Consider stitching your labels over the pocket on front-pocketed items. This style is an irreverent twist on the classic “left chest” design. Try to place the label so that the whole thing is above the pocket. By doing it this way, you won’t have to worry about the pocket ruining the design. Keep in mind that smaller print areas, such as above the pocket on your shirts, require labels that are still visible and easy to read.Center Chest
T-shirts with labels on the center of the chest look cool and draw attention, especially if the designs are elaborate. If you put your label here, it will almost always be seen, even if someone wears a button-up shirt or jacket over their t-shirt. Please note that this positioning does not extend across the entire front of the garment but rather the upper portion only. The standard width for this design is 8 inches, however, 6 or 10 inches would also work.Sleeves
Label/Logo your clothing on the sleeve is a rapidly growing trend. It’s a great way to add more customization to the cycling apparel without sticking the front with text or graphics. Additionally, it’s a great position for avoiding zips and buttons. You can put your label in full view on cycling shirts, sweatshirts, and even hoodies. If you want to put a sports team’s name on some gear, the sleeves are a great place to do it. it may also contain the player’s assigned number.4. Different Types of Cycling Clothing Label
There are many different types of labels to choose from, so it’s crucial to understand your options in order to choose the best one for your cycling garments. When selecting a label style, it’s vital to keep your design simple and straightforward. Some label kinds won’t work with your design if it is overly detailed. The various kinds of labels are as follows:Woven Labels
To create woven labels, polyester threads are woven together on a loom to form the labels with the artwork and text you specify. Woven labels are typically made of two types of materials:- Polyester
- Cotton
How to attach it to Clothes?
Sew-In is a great option for attaching woven labels. Hands-on sewing is an option for attachment. This takes a lot of patience and time. However, this method is not suggested if you need to label many garments. We recommend sewing with a machine because it’s a great option and saves you time. There are lots of sewing machines available.Features
- Price – Cheap (A few cents for each label).
- MOQ(Minimum Order Quantity) – High.
- Color – Any Color
- Material– Fabric/Threads
Digital Printing Label
When it comes to printing custom labels, digital printing is an affordable option that yields high-quality results in terms of photo realistic images, clear text, and dazzling colors. Digital printing often uses a process called sublimation. It’s a great choice for designing cycling clothes labels that might have many colors or complicated pictures. We can print your design onto garment labels with near-photographic precision using a technique called dye-sublimation. Sublimation printing is a type of printing in which an image is initially printed onto a special sheet of paper and then transferred to another material (usually polyester or a polyester mix). After that, heat is applied to the ink until the fabric absorbs it.How to attach it to clothes?
You can attach it by using a heat sublimation process. It’s a type of digital printing that uses heat transfer to put an image on the final surface in a way that won’t come off. It is often called “digital sublimation.” This method is used to add designs to a wide variety of textiles, advertising, and other materials that are suitable for the transfer of ink. First, liquid gel ink is used to apply sublimation colors to “transfer” paper. Sublimation printing uses high-release inkjet sheets to transfer ink from the paper to the substrate. The next step is to heat the printed transfer sheets, turning the solid dye into a gas. This is done using heat and pressure, which permanently attach the dye to the substrate. When the heat is turned off, the dye solidifies again.Features
- Price– Cheap. There is little to no cost overhead because the design is printed directly on the clothes, bypassing any intermediate processes. This means there is no minimum order quantity required and no additional cost.
- MOQ– No Limit.
- Material– Polyester or Polyester Mix Fabric (Direct print on the fabric. If the fabric component is polyamide, we can’t use heat sublimation to print our label on the fabric).
- Color– No Limited. But if you can provide a CMYK color code, this would be very helpful.
- Design– Any Design
Reflective Heat Transfer Label
Reflective heat transfer labels are also known as “tagless” because they are applied directly to cycling clothing. Reflective heat transfer labels are made of reflective heat vinyl and can be laser cut into any shape, such as Logos, or geometric patterns, and then heat pressed onto cycling clothing. The main purpose of using reflective labels is to ensure the safety of riding at night because reflective heat transfer vinyl can reflect light in low light conditions, making the cyclist more visible and thus can remind others. How to attach it to clothes?
One way to add labels to fabrics is to use the heat transfer method, which is the easiest method. However, if you want to do it professionally, please take a look at the following tips.- Turn on your iron or heat press and turn it up to about 150/160°C.
- Put a reflective label on the fabric.
- The label can then be applied by ironing, with the help of an adhesive.
Features
- Price – Cheap, A few cents for each label. That depends on the reflective material used; if you require 3M reflective material, this will be more expensive.
- MOQ– No limit if the factory has its own laser machine and is able to cut by itself.
- Material– Reflective Material, such as films, vinyl, etc.
- Color– Limited, Silver is the most popular; white and black are also more common; other colors need to be customized.
- Design – Any design is supported, but the graphic must not be too small. A minimum element size greater than 2mm is recommended).
Silicone LabelÂ
When compared to woven labels, silicone labels (also referred to as rubber labels) are much tougher and longer lasting. They are commonly seen on cycling jackets and bags, and they serve the dual purpose of protecting the wearer and reiterating the brand’s identification. Silicone labels are only available in plain colors. How to attach it to clothes?
- Sew-In: One way of attaching silicone labels to clothing is by sewing. In this case, we would sew around the silicone tag. This method is more costly as it takes more time to sew.
- Heat transfer: Heat transfer is another option. This is the easiest labeling method. Start by heating your iron to 150/160°C. Then place the label on the cloth. Iron it and you’re good to go.
Features
- Price– Acceptable. Each label is usually in the range of $1-2 USD.
- MOQ– The factory’s ability to produce without limits depends on whether it has its own laser-cutting machine. If the factory is reliant on external suppliers for customization, the MOQ will be significantly higher.
- Material– Silicone Films/Silicone Vinyl.
- Color – Limited, Black, and white are the most popular, but other colors are also available. We recommend consulting the factory’s service staff.
- Design– Any design is supported, but the graphic must not be too small. A minimum element size greater than 2mm is recommended.
Screen Printing Label
When it comes to personalized items, screen printing is a popular choice. This method is used to imprint logos and promotional messages on a wide range of objects, from t-shirts to flying discs. The technique of screen printing involves pushing ink through a fine screen of material to create a design on a surface. Each color is printed using its own screen, and the product is put through a dryer to make sure the ink dries completely.Features
- Price– Expensive. Screen costs often include artwork preparation. Then you must print to film, expose each screen, produce/print, reclaim, and coat. Re-creating a film/screen takes time and materials.
- MOQ – Usually need more than 50 pieces. The minimum order quantity is related to the design. The more colors, the higher the minimum order quantity.
- Material– The materials required for screen printing will differ depending on the desired effect and chosen method.
- Color– No Limited.
- Design– Any design is supported.
